2. General processing, hosting and security
Website Reviews processes personal data only where necessary to operate and secure the service, provide requested features, manage user accounts and Premium subscriptions, or – with consent – measure website usage. The service is hosted on a STRATO VPS. Technical server-log data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, user-agent information and HTTP status may be processed for reliable operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
3. Cloudflare
Cloudflare is used for DNS, proxy, security and protection functions. Connection data, in particular IP addresses and technical request data, may therefore be processed through Cloudflare systems. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements and safeguards.
4. Necessary storage, consent and Matomo
Strictly necessary cookies or comparable storage may be used for login sessions, language preferences, CSRF protection, security functions and privacy choices. Optional analytics uses the self-hosted Matomo installation at https://stats.united-server.org/ (site ID 2) and is loaded only after explicit consent. Your choice is stored in wr_consent and can be changed through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
5. Website analyses and public reports
Submitted public domains may be automatically fetched and analysed. Technical information such as metadata, headings, links, status codes, performance, security and SEO characteristics may be processed. Submitted domains and generated reports may be publicly accessible and may appear in public lists, comparisons or sitemaps. Do not submit credentials, non-public addresses or confidential URLs.
6. User accounts, acceptance and monitoring
Account data may include username, email address, password hash, account status and necessary session information. Website Reviews may also record the version and time at which the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy were accepted or acknowledged. Registered users may save domains and enable monitoring, in which case related domains, settings, analysis times, scores and findings may be stored.
7. Premium subscriptions and Stripe
Stripe is used to process payments for paid Premium subscriptions. Stripe Checkout is used to start subscriptions and the Stripe-hosted customer portal may be used to manage existing subscriptions. In connection with payment and subscriptions, data such as name, email address, billing/payment information, transaction details, amount, payment status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers may be processed. Full card details are handled through Stripe's payment interfaces and are not stored as complete card details by Website Reviews.
Website Reviews stores subscription information required to provide and manage Premium access, such as customer/subscription identifiers, plan, status and subscription period. Processing is necessary for contract performance and billing under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where applicable, statutory record-keeping under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Depending on the processing activity, Stripe may also process data as an independent controller. More information: Stripe Privacy Policy.
8. External checks, recipients and transfers
Parts of an analysis may use external technical services or public interfaces, for example for PageSpeed, RDAP or reputation information, and the domain being checked may be transmitted to those services. Personal data is otherwise disclosed only where necessary for operation, security, payment, billing, requested features or legal obligations. Appropriate safeguards are used where required for transfers outside the European Economic Area.
9. Retention
Account data is generally retained for the duration of the account. Subscription, payment and billing information is retained for as long as necessary for contract performance, billing, evidence or statutory retention duties. Monitoring and report data may be retained for archive, comparison and monitoring functions.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
11. Security, changes and status
Website Reviews uses technical and organisational measures designed to protect stored data appropriately. This Privacy Policy may be updated when features, providers or legal requirements change.
